Robert C. Jones brings over three decades of political and legislative experience to his role as co-chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Federal Government Law & Policy practice. Bob channels his experience in both chambers of Congress and in the Executive Branch to provide counsel and strategic advocacy for clients including U.S. and international businesses, trade associations, not-for-profits, and state and local governments.

When the federal government proposes legislation or regulations that will affect an organization’s operations, plans, goals, or finances, Bob pinpoints the legal and policy issues involved and crafts dynamic strategies to help clients avoid negative effects of government intervention. His successes have come from a wide range of sectors including aerospace & defense, communications, energy, manufacturing, real estate, and transportation.

A former counsel to the Senate Appropriations Committee and appropriations counsel to Sen. Barbara A. Mikulski (D-MD), Bob brings a true insider’s eye to the federal budget process while also drawing on his experience in Congress and in the private sector to advise clients on developing and implementing legislative strategy or significant legislative proposals.
